Acquisition of M.V. Multan

Pakistan National Shipping Corporation on 26 September 2012 acquired a Supramax Bulk Carrier named "MULTAN" for its subsidiary company, M/s. Multan Shipping (Private) Limited.

The M.V. Multan is 50,244 metric tonnes deadweight; Supramax Bulk Carrier built in 2002 by Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. Tamano Works, Japan. The vessel was purchased from a company named Pusaka Laut Pte. Ltd. Singapore and taken over at the port of Lianyungang, China.

The acquisition of M.V. Multan is in line with PNSC's commitment to modernization, development and strengthening of the National Flag Carrier of Pakistan to better serve Pakistan's trade and of the world at large.
