PNSC Risk Assessment & Management Course

(May 29, 2008)

 

 

17th Risk Assessment & Management Course for PNSC Afloat Officers shall be conducted on May 29, 2008 at 0930 hrs sharp.

This course has been designed and developed in line with the standards and pattern of Trainmar training methodology of UNCTAD (United Nation Conference on Trade and Development) and is for all categories of afloat officers including cadets and Trainee Engineers.

 

   

This course covers how to put Risk Assessment into practice without being too complicated.

The course is divided into two modules and the participants shall be subject to practical Risk Assessment exercise at the end of first module.

 

Course Objective

The course will increase awareness of risk and hazards onboard ship, and will equip the participant with appropriate knowledge and skill to conduct a risk assessment.


Course Outcomes


Participants will:

  • Understand about and be able to identify hazards and estimate risks.

  • Understanding the principles of Risk Assessment and be able to follow a systematic approach to carrying out risk assessment themselves.
