Training and development offer more than
just increased knowledge. It offers the added advantage of
learning lessons from other’s experiences.
Training is valuable and no one can deny
the magical power it possesses to boost up the motivational
level of those undergoing it. This can rightly be related to
an energizing process.

3-Day Multi session training programme for Officers joining
newly acquired oil tanker “Karachi”
Objectives of the Training Programme
Besides complying with the mandatory
requirements of ISM CODE and the STCW convention, Section
A-VI/I Chapter VI, the training objectives were:
• To refresh and increase the knowledge and skills of the
participants.
• To help the ship staff appreciate and
apply their professional role in a positive manner.
• To provide an opportunity to reinforce
organizational aims.
• To provide a forum to the ship staff to
express themselves and give their feedback.
