Acquisition of Aframax Tankers (AGED UPTO 10 YEARS)

1. Pakistan National Shipping Corporation as managers invite offers from reputed Ship Brokers for acquisition of two Aframax size Oil Tankers of upto 10 years age. (Former East

 Block origin built vessels  not to be offered).

2. In addition to complying with all relevant IACS and other regulatory bodies requirement, tankers must  fulfill the following criteria:

a. Must be fitted with IG system in accordance with International Regulations.

b. Must have fixed operational COW system.

c. Should preferably be equipped with Single Point Mooring arrangements meeting OCIMF standards;

   with minimum one chain stopper tongue type 200 tons SWL.

d. One/Two CRANES of minimum 15 MTs SWL for handling SPM hoses etc.

e. Tankers must comply with the latest IMO/ILO Regulations and should be Double Hull complying

 MARPOL 73/78 Annex I Regulation 13F.

f. Should not have more than 259 M LOA, 42M Beam with displacement not exceeding 95,000 Metric

Tons at 11.89 metres draft.

g. Cargo carrying capacity at 11.89 metres draft should be upto 74,000 Metric Tons. 

h. Main engine preferably SULZER or B&W.

i.  Cargo Pumping System preferably be Turbine Driven Pumps and not Deep-well pumps.

3. Details of major repairs, alterations / modifications carried out should be provided.

4. Terms of Purchase will generally be in line with Norwegian Sales Form 1993 subject to additions / deletions of clauses through mutual agreement.

5. Tankers should have minimum 2 oil major approvals; supporting confirmation to be submitted along with  the offer.

6. Any additional information beneficial to the buyer may also be provided.

7. In addition to Ship Brokers already prequalified by PNSC, reputable Ship Brokers with Baltic Exchange  membership and extensive sale/purchase experience may make their offers.

8. Offer for sale of Aframax Tankers with authority from Owners based on above criteria may be  forwarded to PNSC by Courier, Fax/Email.
