Acquisition of M.V. Hyderabad

Pakistan National Shipping Corporation on 21st April 2011 acquired a Supramax Bulk Carrier named "HYDERABAD" for its subsidiary company, M/s. Hyderabad Shipping (Private) Limited.

The M.V. HYDERABAD is 52,951 metric tonnes deadweight; Supramax Bulk Carrier built in 2004 by Oshima Shipyard, Nagasaki Japan. The vessel was purchased from a company named Jewel Maritime Inc. Kingston, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, managed by Emarat Maritime Ltd., U.A.E.

The acquisition of M.V. Hyderabad is in line with PNSC's commitment to modernization, development and strengthening of the National Flag Carrier of Pakistan.

Acquisition of M.V. Hyderabad is part of the 5 years development plan to modernize PNSC's fleet through induction of modern ships to serve Pakistan's trade and also of the world at large.
