As the CEO of PNSC, I'm often surprised by how few people understand the vast
potential of ship owning in Pakistan. Our industry has tremendous room for reform,
enabling Pakistani shipping companies to compete globally if a level playing field is
available.
Despite challenges, PNSC is open for Public Private Partnership in order to tap the
opportunities available for entrepreneurs, particularly having strength and deep
understanding of cross-border trade and willing to diversify and expand vertically and
horizontally.
Being truly international, a shipping business model provides a built-in hedge, as it
fetches revenue in foreign currency while most of our expenses are in the local
currency. This gives a strong advantage in a hyper-inflationary economy.
